SOAR’s mission is to bridge the academic achievement gap among students in Racine, We track their progress and challenges to know if we are fulfilling that mission. This is done by monitoring and measuring a number of outcomes annually in order to analyze the effectiveness of our work. 2010-11 Attendance School attendance for SOAR students in 2010-11 was 98%. piechart
2010-11 Grades The average grade-point average among the SOAR students who receive letter gradesfor the fourth quarter of the 2010-11 academic year was 2.85, a little better than a “B-”. The chart below indicates the grade-point averages of scholarship students who are old enough to receive letter grades for each quarter of the year. An “F” is a 0 and an “A” is 4 points. chart   Younger students who were in the program last year did not receive letter grades.
2010-11 Parent Satisfaction Each year, SOAR surveys parents who have children in the program to indicate how the organization could be more helpful and effective. All parents participated in the survey.
